Buccaneers continue to shuffle roster

The Buccaneers lead the league in one thing: we have most transactions in the league with 223 as of September 23. Five transactions were made yesterday, including the waiving of WR Chris Owusu (#80) and the re-signing of WR Louis Murphy in his place. Murphy played with the team behind WR Vincent Jackson (#83) all preseason only to be released the day before the team’s first regular season game.

Additionally, the Buccaneers released three from the practice squad: LB Ka’lil Glaud, DE Adrian Robinson and S Kimario McFadden. All had been on the practice squad for less than a month. The move leaves three vacancies on the practice squad. What the front office plans to do with the void is unclear. With our current number of roster moves, it is probably safe to assume it will not take Lovie & Co. long to fill those spots.

And it didn’t take long. The three practice squad spots have been filled. DE T.J. Fatinikin, LB Shane Skov and TE/FB Ian Thompson. Both Fatinikin and Thompson played with the Bucs during preseason but were released before the start of the regular season. Skov was an undrafted rookie but signed with the 49ers in May. He was signed to the 49ers practice squad August 31, 2014 and subsequently released September 15, 2014.
