Bucs sign special teams specialist Larry Dean

The Buccaneers have been shoring up the defense and sizing up possible offensive depth this offseason. Now they have made a move on special teams. Larry Dean has been signed by the Bucs after spending last season with Buffalo.

Dean will be rejoining defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, under whom he played at Minnesota from 2011-2013. Dean entered the league as an undrafted free agent. He has yet to start a game in the NFL and is designated as a linebacker. His forte appears to be special teams, where he played during all 48 games under Frazier’s regime. He has recorded 37 tackles in four years.
